A Knoxville painter who came home
Koby Hyde grew up in Knoxville, spent five years painting in Austin, and moved back in 2026. ABK Interior is the interior painting side of that work.
The other side is murals. Koby has painted more than 75 of them across the country, freehand, on walls that people walk past every day. That is the day job that trained his hand and his eye, and it is the reason ABK Interior exists as a separate business: a homeowner in Farragut who needs three bedrooms repainted should not have to hire an artist to get a painter who is genuinely good at edges and genuinely good with color.

A mural is a cut-in with no tape and no second chance. Do that for a decade and a straight line along a ceiling stops being difficult. The mural work is not the product being sold on this site — it is the answer to “why him and not the cheaper bid?”

Sharp cut-ins where the wall meets the ceiling and the trim, with no bleed and nothing left to touch up after the drop cloths come out. Look at the corners up close. That is where painters get found out.

Beige by default is a decision too, and usually the wrong one. Working in color every day means a bolder choice can land in your living room instead of overwhelming it.
And fits the scene
A north-facing room gets cool light all day, so a warm neutral off the fan deck reads grey on the wall. The right color depends on your light and how you use the room, not on the swatch.
